Celebrate the Gallery’s 2nd birthday with the exhibition launch of Photos + Prose: Part 2, a collection of photographs shot on film using a circa 1909 Kodak Box Brownie Model 2A intermingled with the poetry and pose of artist and writer Sarah Hughes.
Using her Box Brownie, Sarah captures the beauty of life. There is little to no control over the aperture (depth of field), or shutter speed in what essentially is a cardboard box with a hole for a shutter. On a roll of 120mm film, you are limited to just 9 exposures. Yet with imagination and mindfulness - you can create something truly special.
